Privacy Policy
Effective date: July 13, 2026
Summary
Pocket VHDL does not collect, store, sell, or share personal data, and it does not track users.
Information we collect
Neither Pocket VHDL nor its developer collects names, email addresses, location, contacts, device identifiers, usage history, diagnostics, or the contents of VHDL documents you create or open.
Documents and files
Your .vhd and .vhdl documents are handled through iOS and iPadOS document features in the on-device storage, iCloud Drive, or third-party file-provider location you select. Pocket VHDL does not send document contents to a developer-operated server. A file provider's own privacy policy may apply to locations managed by that provider.
On-device preferences
Editor preferences such as font size, tab width, line numbers, and completion settings are stored on your device for convenience. They are not used to identify you and are not transmitted to the developer.
Tracking, advertising, and analytics
Pocket VHDL does not include advertising SDKs, tracking technologies, or third-party analytics SDKs.
Support pages and external links
When you select Support or Privacy Policy in the app's settings, the GitHub Pages website opens in your default browser. This happens only after you choose a link. GitHub, the hosting provider, may process standard web-request information such as an IP address, browser information, and request time for security and service operation. The GitHub General Privacy Statement applies to that processing.
Support requests
If you contact support by email, the developer processes the email address, message, and attachments you voluntarily provide only to respond to the request and resolve the issue. Support email may be processed through Google's Gmail service. Do not send confidential source code, passwords, or unnecessary personal data.
Retention and deletion
Support-request information is kept only as long as needed to handle the request, provide follow-up, and protect the service, then deleted. You may ask for deletion of your support email and related information using the contact below. Copies may remain in the email provider's backups for a limited period.
International processing
If you use support email or the website, service providers such as GitHub or Google may process information outside your country under their safeguards and policies. The developer does not transfer VHDL documents edited in the app internationally.
Children's privacy
Because the app does not collect personal data from any user, it does not knowingly collect personal data from children.
Changes to this policy
If the app's data practices change, this policy and the App Store privacy disclosure will be updated with a new effective date. Material changes will be announced on this page or in app update notes.
